UDI U818a Review: A True Beginner’s Drone

There are two types of drone lovers in the world: beginners and experts. The newbie wants the computer to do all the hard work while they enjoy their aerial photography sessions. A specialist looks at a firm control on the drone, to enjoy the thrill of flying it manually. The UDI U818a is a quadcopter that ultimately relies on the skills of the pilot, but has a highly functional controller that still keeps the things simple. It is a great pick for those aspiring drone flyers that are looking to have full control of the functions during their flights. With that, let’s begin with a complete review of UDI U818a.

UDI u818a

DESIGN

The frame is made of light and thin plastic that surrounds the rotors of the drone. The frame is not very lavish like in DJI Phantom 4 and Yunnec q500 drones but is designed to give the drone more machine-like look than the fancy one. Electronics are fitted in the small cavity underneath the center and do not have much cover. The machine is very light but remains stable in 10 mph winds, anything above that might carry it away pretty fast.

The rotors are also made with the same material and involve screws to lock them securely in place, unlike other low-end quadcopters that self tighten. It implies that it is stable but makes them harder to replace.

http://quadcopterhq.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/UDI-U818A-Front-Side.jpg

BATTERY

This quadcopter has a 3.7V 500mAh LiPo battery that gives up to 10 minutes flight time to the drone. The full recharge requires 2 hours, which is a lot for just 10 minutes of time in the air. As the drone is affordably priced, keeping 1-2 batteries in hand will allow you to fly this manual quadcopter for longer minutes without having to wait around for recharging.

UDI u818a battery and camera

CONTROLLER

The controller of UDI U818a is of a boxy design and has many switches on its exterior. It is made of quality plastic and will allow the pilot to have a full control of their drone. It also has an LCD on the front that delivers flight data and buttons to control various functions like start, stop, photo, change of flight mode and even flip the quadcopter. Two control sticks offer control of the drone’s thrust and direction, respectively.

The radio signal and frequency band can communicate over 2.4 Ghz, without any interference from other Wi-Fi networks. No other mobile devices like Smartphone or tablet can control this quadcopter. It weighs more than 10 ounces and gives a comfortable fit for your thumbs. It is powered by AA batteries and can provide several hours for flying before running out.

UDI u818a controller

CAMERA

The camera is situated at the bottom of the quadcopter drone and is minuscule in size. It weighs just 0.2 ounces and has a slot for 2GB microSD card. The image and video quality are below impressive and only faces forward and downwards. Videos are shot at 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second, and the colors are very bright. It also picks up flickers and faint camera noise, which will require a lot of editing.

UDI u818a HD camera

PRICE >> See Current Price (for HD version)

The price of UDI U818a is just $47 for non HD in comparison to other high-end drones that range up to $2000. It will include drone, battery, and its charger and you have to buy other accessories separately. It is a good medium sized drone for the price, if you are curious about different options then check out our list of some of the best drones for sale currently.

CONCLUSION

If you’re looking to buy drones for professional use then go for DJI and Parrot quadcopters, but if you want a drone that is cheap and still flies great, than UDI U818a is the one for you. Though the camera quality is below average, the overall package with great design and the functional controller is the best one in cheap drones section.

If you’re interested, we’d appreciate if you purchase though our link here so we can continue to build great content for you 🙂

3DR Solo Vs. DJI Inspire

3DR Solo Vs. DJI Inspire

The two flying machines 3DR Solo and DJI Inspire debuted in 2015, but their reign and fame have spilled into another year. Could it be as a result of their quality or the rivalry of their producers? This review will be the judge. PCMag.com rated the DJI Inspire excellent, while it rated the 3DR Solo very good. But we will give them another fair chance by examining the two heavyweight drones. DJI Inspire was released as a total package with it 360-degreee rotating 4K Camera, the automated flight features, and a dedicated controller with the app. Its contender is not a camera drone but could function as one due to it gimbal support and blazing speed, which makes it one of the fastest among its peers. This review will be judged by the flying machine’s price, design and feature, battery strength and flight time, speed/height, and camera capabilities.

Price

The price of Solo might be a little bit lesser than that of its competitor regarding price. Without a GoPro, the cost of the 3DR Solo is around $1000, but with the GoPro, be ready to cough out around $1400. On the other hand, the cost of DJI Inspire is $1649 on Amazon. When it comes to price, the 3DR Solo takes the lead.

Design and Features

DJI Inspire is a well-crafted flying machine. Its structure was built using carbon fiber materials, even though 50 Cent makes it look like a toy while flying it. The DJI Inspire is a serious piece of hardware, which is adaptable for any use. It’s going to be tough here as the 3DR Solo is also one of the best built flying machines, and the flying propellers were crafted with a glass re-enforced nylons which cannot break easily. In this regards, it’s a win-win for both contenders.

Battery Strength and Flight Time.

When fully charged, the Solo will fly for around 15 to 18-minute, even though it was estimated to have a 25-Minute flight time. The 5,200 mAh 14.8Vdc lithium-ion battery will charge fully in 1 hr 35-Minute. DJI Inspire TB47 battery requires about an hour to charge, but can only fly for around 15-minute. There is no much difference between their flight time, but DJI Inspire wins as it charges faster and performs at the same rate with the Solo.

Speed and Height

DJI Inspire is fast but not as fast as the 3DR Solo. Very nimble in the air but also very steady, DJI Inspire can fly as fast as 50mph, which is 10mph slower than the 3DR Solo which moves as fast as a racing machine while in the air. While Inspire can only climb as high as 500ft, 3DR Solo can get to an altitude triple of that height. We think you know which drone is the winner in this category. If you don’t know, it is 3DR Solo.

Camera Capabilities

The 3DR Solo would have to be a great tool in the hand of cinematographers. But as explained above, the battery life will not permit it to do so. With the GoPro in place, it avails a beautiful view with its eyes. DJI Inspire has various recording options for video, but the bottom-line is that the 4K Video capability and the 12megapixel pictures it can take from any height. If cinematographers and photographers adjudge this, DJI Inspire will be their choice.

The two flying robots perform awesomely as a top range product when tested from all possible angles, but one will surely be better than another. If we are to adjudge, there is no clear winner. This is because they both have their strengths and weaknesses as well as some similar features.

PD-1 airframe and Unmanned Aerial System Solution

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick note about our PD-1 UAS and of course to hear your opinion about it. We’ve been working for a while to develop and start a mass production of our own airframe and payloads. And after that spent even more time trying to put it all together. Please welcome new player on UAV arena – PD-1 Unmanned Aerial System

PD-1 UAV is a fixed-wing 3 meter wing-span unmanned arial vehicle. It is equipped with gyro-stibilized gimbal with EO and IR sensors and photo camera for aerial photo mapping. There is still enough space for additional payloads, such as radio repeater, LIDAR or any other custom options.

One of our achievements is that PD-1 UAS is currently on service in Ukrainian Army. It is positively rated by officials and it has spent hundreds of hours in actual military operation. Our UAVs were operated in conditions where GPS/Glonass and control signals were jammed by Electronic Warfare Systems and still successfully completed their missions. Based on our experience and feedback from military operators we continuously improve our unmanned aerial system and add new features.

PD-1 is capable of staying in the air for more then 5 hours with maximum payload and fuel capacity. This is while using regular 2-stoke engine without any modifications. We can greatly extend flight time if we add on-board generator and Electronic Fuel Injection. Service celling is 2000 meters. Telemetry datalink works for 85+ km and send all information to the ground. Including fuel level, engine temperature, outside temperature, battery status, etc. We develop whole sensor system from scratch to ensure that operator has all information from the UAV. Real-time Full HD video reception works in 50 km range. PD-1 UAV can stream video to multiple GCS or portable terminals. This means that different groups of people/operators can receive video and other information from UAV in real-time.
USG-212 gimbal is equipped with Full HD Sony sensor with 30 x optical zoom. Which allows it to be operated on altitudes above 1000 meters and easily detect objects. Thermal camera allow to use gimbal during night time or low visibility conditions. USG-212 can be installed not only on UAV, but also on helicopters or small manned aircrafts. Here is some video from USG-212 recorded on GCS. What is actually remarkable is that Ground Control Station that recorded this video was 37 kilometres away from the UAV, so it also shows the capabilities of our video link system.
That was only a few things that I wanted to share with you guys. And by the way PD-1 airframe itself is available for integrators and enthusiasts to develop their own projects. If you have any questions or there is anything more you’d like to know or see about our system please comment and we will share more information and content with you.

Quadcopter Surfing; A thrill or a horrible idea?

Yesterday I was cruising the canyons on one of those sunday-drive with no destination type of days. I stopped and found a few cool flying spots, but nothing beat the beach. I’ve flown at the beach before, but never with a mini quad so I naturally wanted to rip it up. I’ve never really had the trust in my solders and my equipment until now, where I have a trust with my equipment. This was filmed with the Immersion RC Vortex and a GoPro Hero 4.

Drones for aerial photography

I am glad to publish the following guest article by Thomas Foster, owner of the Bestquadwithcamera.com blog. Make sure you pay a visit! Also find Thomas on Facebook.

Drones are used in many ways nowadays. Perhaps one of most common uses of drones (at least those with camera) is for aerial photography. This area of photography has been popular for the last hundred years and it is getting even popular with the evolution of drones. Aerial photographers with drones can be either just some quadcopter hobbyists or professional photographers that decided to take some special photograph.

Drones are useful because they are quite cheap (alternatives are usually helicopters or balloons; it is hard to make a good aerial photo from the ground) and they are small and can therefore fly in many places where other aerial vehicles can’t. That is why their popularity in aerial photography and videography is rising fast. Drones for aerial photography cost $100 for the cheapest models. But this is becoming an important area of professional photography as well. Some professional photographers pay few tens of thousands of dollars for a good drone for photography. Of course such drones are made specifically for photography and are usually used for making commercial videography or photography. They are equipped with many additional features which make them unique and useful. What things do you need for good aerial photography? Drones that are used for aerial photography usually need few additional parts of equipment.

  • Perhaps the most important is the camera. The most important feature is ISO settings. Those settings determine camera’s sensibility to the light. With diverse ISO settings, you are able to accommodate the picture on more different lightning conditions. And that is important because weather changes lightning a lot. Other important features are also Field of View (FOV) and the weight of the camera. Contrast and zoom and pixels should also be considered when purchasing a camera as they are also useful features.
  • Another great feature is FPV (First Person View) system. That system means that you have a camera attached to the aircraft which then transmits video in real time. With this you are able to pilot the aircraft as if you were a pilot there. The camera that is used for FPV is usually not that good because it cannot transfer large quantity of data through transmitter very fast. So usually (although not always) you have another camera (such as GoPro) for FPV system which will enable you easier piloting and better flying experience.
FPV System
FPV System
  • GPS system can also be a very useful thing to have on a drone. GPS system allows you to insert the coordinates and the drone will fly there by itself. That gives you hands-free operation. For photography (and even videography) that is a great feature because than you can focus entirely on moving the camera in order to make good aerial shots.
  • When you are piloting the drone, you might have the problems with shaky picture. Those problems can be at least partially solved by purchasing a gimbal. Gimbal is a tool which stabilizes the camera and in this way gives you less shaky picture. Camera is attached to the gimbal and gimbal simply reduces the vibrations that camera is receiving.

Some tips for beginners

If you are a beginner in aerial photography and in general in flying drones, you might want to buy some cheap drone or quadcopter in order to start practicing how to fly. Perhaps for the beginner all those advanced features cost too much as it is expected that you crash the aircraft a lot. Therefore there are some quite cheap drones on the market. They can cost as little as $50 and are quite crash resistant. That makes them great beginner drones. As you learn how to operate the drone better, you can switch to better and more expensive models. Rome wasn’t built in a day and the same is with flying skills. You cannot expect to become a professional flyer and aerial photographer just over the night. These things need time and practice.

Some tips for aerial photography and videography

When you are making aerial photography and videography, there are many ways to improve it. The best way is of course practice, but here are some tips to improve the quality of your footage.

2

  • Pilot your drone to different spots and make photos from different angles. You might be surprised by some photos you take as they will be different from what you expect.
  • Always check for the weather forecast before taking a flight. Weather conditions affect the flight and the quality of the picture. That is why you want to plan your flight depending on the weather conditions that you expect.
  • Usually when making aerial photography, you want to capture place as big as possible. For that reason, it might be beneficial to fly high in order to make bigger picture of the area. Also, it is better to use short lens when making the pictures as the area on the pictures will then look bigger.
  • Use additional features that you have on your drone such as GPS system and FPV system. They are there for a reason. They will make your photography better and simpler. It is hard to underestimate the importance of those systems.
  • Balance the propellers before even making a flight. That will give you more balance while performing a flight and therefore you will have less unexpected problems in the air.
  • Plan your flight in advance and determine what exactly you want to capture and how you will capture it. Having a good plan before flying is important because it reduces the failure and unexpected events while flying.
  • Adjust contrast and resolution before flight. During the flight it is also good to change the zoom depending on the picture that you are taking. You want to minimize the number of operations when in the air and maximize everything you can do on the ground.

What about legality?

When making aerial photography or videography of some area, you first need the allowance of the owners of the area to make photography and videography. Also the aircraft should always be at your sight. For more information what you can or cannot do, visit the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) website.

DJI Phantom 3 Professional Vs Phantom 3 Advanced

DJI Phantom 3 Professional VS DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Version.

We at Quadcopters UK are often asked the differences between the DJI Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced, so we will summarise it in a simplified way.

The first difference is cosmetic and the differences are in the colour stripes and badge at the front. The Pro Version comes with Gold stripes and Gold Badge and says Phantom Professional, the Advanced sports silver stripes and a silver badge that says Phantom Advanced.

Really though the major difference is the DJI Phantom 3 Professional is equipped with a 4k Camera and you can see by the image below the difference in video size.

phantom 3 4k vs 1080p

Below is the 4K Camera that is fitted to the DJI Phantom 3 Professional Edition.

4K Camera Drone uk

DJI Phantom 3 Professional 4K Camera

Here below is the Camera Fitted to the DJI Phantom 3 Advanced.

Phantom 3 advanced 1080p

DJI Phantom 3 Advanced 1080P Camera

Both cameras are almost identical to look at the only difference is the resolution they shoot video at. One point to note is that both cameras shoot still images at 12.0mp resolution and now use the very popular Sony Exmor sensor. Both models come with a 16gb Memory card but they can take upto a 64GB and a recommended speed rating of class 10 or UHS-1.

So to sum things up below are the shooting modes for both models.

Phantom 3 Professional

  • UHD: 4096x2160p 24/25, 3840x2160p 24/25/30
  • FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60
  • HD: 1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Phantom 3 Advanced

  • FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60
    HD: 1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Phantom 3 Professional vs Advanced Supplied Chargers.

The DJI Phantom 3 Professional is supplied with a 100w Charger and the advanced version comes with a 57w charger. This means slightly longer charging times but most users always have a few spare LiPos when going out flying.

So that’s really the only differences in the 2 models apart from the price.

Quadcopters UK have both the DJI Phantom 3 Professional  and the DJI Phantom 3 Advanced in stock and we are official DJI Dealers for the UK and have the largest stock in store.

UDI U818a vs Yuneec q500: Starter vs Intermediate Quadcopter

Many companies have given the world some magnificent drones. The love for these quadcopters has risen in the past few years, and people are always looking for the perfect drone that satisfies their piloting needs. Yuneec and UDI serve different sections of the drone users. Yuneec manufacture drones that use elite levels of aerial photography and droning games, while UDI constructs drones to fulfill basic needs at a much-budgeted price. As listed in our
guide to drones for sale, both these companies can be a perfect choice for your next drone purchase. Let’s discuss the specifications of UDI U818a vs Yuneec Typhoon q500 drone in detail.

Yuneec Typhoon q500

DESIGN

UDI U818a is designed with a very light plastic material and covers the rotors of the machine. The other wires and electronics are secured in the cavity underneath the main drone’s frame but remains without cover. The light body of the drone keeps it stable in 10 mph winds, which is a surprise, but anything above that may lead to drifting of the drone. Other parts of the drone like rotors are also made with same quality plastic.

The Q500 has a very eye-catching construction made with the high-quality material. The arms and legs are incredibly stable and stand true to many steadiness tests. The structure of this drone is sturdy and can withstand heavy winds and weather. Every part of this quadcopter is covered with lightweight metal, which gives it a professional and finished look.

UDI U818a Camera Drone

BATTERY

The 3.7 V and 500 mAh battery of
UDI U818a provides a flight time of only 10 minutes. The low cost of the drone makes it easy for the pilot to own additional batteries and increase the machine’s time in the air. The recharging of its batteries can take up to 2 hours, which can get annoying.

UDI U818a Camera and Battery

The
Typhoon Q500 has a very powerful 5,400 mAh Li-Pi battery that gives a flight time of up to 25 minutes. The recharging time is 2 hours, same as that of UDI U818a, but the flight time is pretty impressive for such a sturdily constructed drone.

Yuneec q500 battery

CONTROLLER

The controller of UDI U818a has a very boxy and sturdy construction, which is a surprise for a drone of this price range. It has control sticks that handle thrust and direction of the drone with ease. The other buttons allow handling of drone’s various modes and other flight functions. All data is displayed on the LCD display available on the front of the controller. The radio signal and frequency band can communicate over 2.4 Ghz, without any interference from other Wi-Fi networks, which is same as that of Typhoon Q500 controller.

UDI U818a Drone Controller

The controller of
Typhoon Q500 is a beauty. It has 10-channels equipped with a 4.5” LED screen that displays flight data, which is much better than UDI U818a. These dual joysticks have the same thrust and direction functions like UDI U818a, but the buttons on this controller can access more modes. The Typhoon Q500 can also be controlled by other mobile devices, unlike UDI U818a.

Yuneec q500 controller with LCD screen

CAMERA

Keep the expectations low when it comes to UDI U818a drone’s camera. The video and photo quality is below average and is known to record fuzzy noises. However, the colors are very bright, and the videos are shot at 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second. Clearly, if you are looking for a really good
camera drone then this shouldn’t be your first choice.

UDI U818a Camera

The camera of Typhoon Q500 is much better and delightful than UDI U818a. It can record up to 12-megapixles stills and 1080 p HD video footage, and at a very fine quality. It has a 3-axis gimbal system, which is absent in UDI U818a and also has highly stable camera functions.

Yuneec Typhoon Q500 Camera Drone Camera

PRICE

Surprisingly, UDI U818a costs only $149 (
see current price) and includes battery and a remote controller in the package. On the other hand, the Typhoon Q500 4K is available for $1,200 (see current price) and higher models can go to a range of up to $1,300.

CONCLUSION

To make a decision among these drones, it highly depends upon your budget and requirements. But keeping those factors aside, Typhoon Q500 is a masterpiece in comparison to UDI U818a. It has a very highly quality camera with gimbal system, and the construction is highly impressive. The battery of UDI U818a has more power, and the controller gives the pilot more options to fly the drone successfully. It is a great drone to be used in professional aerial photography and games. UDI U818a is designed for beginners and those drone enthusiasts who are looking for simple functions and operational range in a drone.

Yuneec Typhoon Q500 Camera Drone

Whether you pick Typhoon Q500 or UDI U818a, both stand greatly in their sections and provide a great droning experience to the users.

DJI Phantom 3 or 4? Is it Worth the Upgrade?

DJI Phantom 3 or 4? Is it Worth the Upgrade?

Often times we are asked whether the difference between the DJI Phantom 3 and the latest Phantom the Phantom 4 is worth the added expense? Also, what about the comparison of the 3DR Solo to the Phantom 4?

The Phantom 4 represents the pinnacle of what is available for the consumer mass market today. As a consumer looking for the best there is when it comes to capturing aerial video without breaking the bank, this is it.

But what about the Phantom 3. It shares much in common with the 4. Same controller, similar app interface, same camera quality. Is it worth the added expense? Here’s my answer…depends. It depends on a few key factors which I will get into below.

The following are all reasons that the Phantom 4 is worth spending the money on: If you want/need the 4k capabilities of the camera. If you want/need the ability to live track moving targets autonomously. If you want/need the ability to automatically avoid obstacles that may be in your path. If you want/need the ability to fly at speeds up to 50MPH with increased maneuverability. Those are the main reasons to upgrade.

There are also a few less important reasons but nice extras nonetheless. The Phantom 4 features quick-release props much like it’s bigger sister the Inspire. It’s not a huge deal but the everyday practicality make it something really nice that you miss when you don’t have it. Another is the nice case that the Phantom 4 ships in. It comes in a high quality custom cut foam case that can be used as an everyday carry case or thrown in a backpack for even more portability. No need to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a custom backpack with the same functionality.

As far as the comparison to the 3DR Solo my biggest issue here is that you have to use a GoPro with the Solo. In my humble opinion, the GoPro Hero is NOT the ideal camera to use for expansive landscape shots that drones are designed to capture. DJI’s camera is much better in this regard. When all is said and done, if you have to buy a GoPro for your Solo you aren’t saving any money and are getting an inferior product. There is nothing that the Solo can do that they Phantom can’t do and in most cases, do better.

With all of that said. The Phantom 3 is a great machine and if you don’t want or need 4k video then you would be quite happy with the Phantom 3 Advanced and it would save you a good chunk of change. You can’t go wrong between the 2. So pick one and let the fun begin!

Go ahead with the Dji Inspire 1 Review to understand full analysis on the dji inspire quadcopter.

Dji Inspire 1 Design

The Dji Inspire 1 deflect from the rigid, fixed frame drone design in a superior style. Although fold able landing legs have been integrated on a few more advanced octocopters and hexacopters, DJI form an approach to adjust the legs of the drone fold up without putting a lot of weight or raise the complication of the design further more. The dji inspire one frame is built up of carbon fiber, along two arms joined the major middle body, and a couple of perpendicular arms holding the propeller arms – the frame of the drone form a “H” structure extra or lower. Get on with the dji inspire one review for complete discussion of dji inspire quadcopter design.

DJI Inspire 1 with Arms Down

The above-mentioned make over arms allow the DJI Inspire 1 for Sale to place the suspended camera and the body up high and guarded meanwhile the drone is landing, however enable it to drip down and get an un-interrupted channel of view while the quadcopter is floating.

The showed cutting-edge inspire 1 review design is a convincing deflect from the typical “X” framework for quadcopters, also while we cannot critic its merit till looking it in operation for a moment, it looks very encouraging. It unquestionably clarify the problem of taking both the landing gear or the propellers in the edge of footage shots, furthermore it absolutely looks refreshing noticing the quadcopter revolutionize in mid-flight!

Apart from the transforming shape and propeller arms of the dji inspire drone, the certain figure of the quadcopter is actually diverse than what we have noticed on the alternative models. Its central shape is high, narrow, and elongated – it looks mainly to take in the huge 4500mAh battery. The front and middle of the body figure has all the gearing which ease the arms and frame of the DJI Inspire Amazon Drone to pivot, and the electronic components which process the control the quadcopter and video signal. The rear of the group compartment is where the 4500mAh battery slides in. DJI gone for a combo of black/white on the New DJI Inspire 1 Copter, a few extra of a deviation from the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus.

On the assumption that Dji Inspire 1 Review, the dji inspire one has a beautiful design and attend many fresh concepts to the quadrotor helicopter world.

DJI Inspire 1 Camera and Video – DJI Inspire 1 Review

DJI Inspire 1 Camera Suspended

One of the biggest expected functions of the dji inspire quadcopter is its brand-new joined 4k video camera. The camera and the lens are suspended beneath the central body of the quadcopter,on top of the 360 degree rotatable gimbal. This can record footage in 1080p at 24-60fps, or in 4K at 24-30fps. To be genuine, I could have wanted a marginally greater frame quota at 4K, however this is not a momentum changer by any way. It can capture 12 megapixel still images and the lens is possessed of 9 elements in 9 classes, furthermore the dji inspire 1 camera include a 1/2.3″ CMOS censor. The dji inspire 1 video field of view is 94 degrees so this is yet obviously a large angle lens, although it might not include as enough of the fish eye follow-up as alternative systems. Go ahead with the dji inspire 1 reviews for full analysis of DJI’s Inspire 1 Quadcopter Video and Camera .

The gimbal and camera come out to be very minimalist and sleek – its unbelievable that DJI can adjust in 4K video camera in such a small light stuff! The product specifications are absolutely favorable, although we will hold finishing perception on the dji inspire 1 video system till we get an opportunity to test with it hands on and see out alternative video of the dji inspire one in play. The video setup is absolutely a large stride from the optics setup on the Phantom 2 Vision Plus, nevertheless we do not notice a load of Vision+ keeper wanting to rush out and enhance any moment shortly.

In the case that Dji Inspire 1 Review, the dji inspire 1 drone has a new camera and video, and, hence try-out many new ideas to the quadrotor market.

Dji Inspire 1 Charging and Battery

The New DJI Inspire 1 Copter arrive with a huge 4500mAh 22.2 volt LiPo battery, nevertheless DJI to market an even bigger 5700mAh 22.8 volt battery at same time. This takes about 60 minutes to charge, also yields around 18 minutes of flight duration. Furthermore, this is unsatisfying. It is a reduced flight duration compared to the Phantom 2 Vision Plus and whatever lower 20 minutes is lesser than optimal when you are exacting to frame a caption and get a few tremendous video. Furthermore, 18 minutes for a quadrotor of this ability and size are pretty delicate and surely in line with alternative quadcopter which can executes 4K footage with live streaming competence, so we will not blow away too much marks. That spoken, I am confident many likely consumers were expecting for a close 30 minutes flight duration – something to expect for, DJI! Get under way with the dji inspire reviews for full critiques of Dji Inspire 1 Battery and Charging.

The dji inspire 1 quadcopter with 4k camera show up with an intelligent battery, which DJI debt as a “thoroughly combined intelligent battery setup” which handle itself. The setup determines your left over flight duration while you are floating, and measure how longs you want to reappearance to the home place and can warn you before the nip dead pace, that is fair. The dji inspire 1 drone battery to tell the voltage of particular cell, the entire count of discharges and charges in its career life, and the total battery place. No promise on how much extra batteries are as yet, although I guess they are actually costly – perhaps $250?

On these terms that Dji Inspire 1 Review, the inspire 1 drone has a practical battery and charging system, and, hence try-out most excellent innovations to the quadcopter industry.

Remote Control Transmitter – Dji Inspire 1 Review

The New DJI Inspire 1 Copter show up with one transmitter to begin, although with the choice of tally another on to simplify individual customer to manage the quadcopter as well as addition to manage the footage camera. The transmitters themselves feel reasonably simple, however they include joined First-Person-View (FPV) streaming integrated within them, offering you to lock a mobile device or an iPad mini up to see absolutely what the dji inspire 1 camera sees. Complete 720p high-definition footage is streamed to your mobile phone (however not the 4K which you are recording, nevertheless you would not be able to declare in any way!) via DJI’s Lightbridge mechanization. The footage signal can cover up to about 1 1/4 miles or 2,000 meters off.

Flying

DJI-Inspire-1-Controls

We will not report on the real flight behavior of the dji inspire drone still, by reasoning of we have not grabbed our hands on one unit. However, the maiden analysis look to point out that the Inspire 1 Quadcopter is responsive, stable and powerful. It looks to include extraordinary maneuver control and nice aerodynamics, as a result of high-tech GPS function and a fresh sensors technology on the base of the quadcopter which allows steady indoor usages even when not locked up to Global Positioning System. This can recognizes your central points even when you maneuver around during the time flying the quadcopter, making sure that it repeatedly flies back harmlessly.

250 Racer to take pictures in holiday trip

Hello, I just want to share with you my experience of using a 250 quad to take picture in holiday trip.

(after removing fisheye effect)

A 250 quad racer could be useful not only for racing. Thanks to is small size you could bring it with you in holiday to take pictures.

Everything you need fit in a quite small box :
– TX
– Quad
– FPV Goggle
– Video receiver
– Spare batteries
– Battery Charger

– Toolbox

It doesn’t take more place than a DSLR and it lens. So I leave the DSLR at home and took the quad 🙂
No gimbal but still useful.
I use a Runcam v2 as camera and the result is quite good. I admit it doesn’t compete with DSLR for quality but you get another point of view !

I use a FPV camera pointing up to have a good view in forward flight and the Runcam pointing down. A good addition will be a video switch to be able to select the desired view in flight.

You have to keep safety first and do not fly over/near people, nor near airport. And of course respect the local law if exist.

Anyone having some the same and can give some advice ?

PS : coming back home with nice pictures increase the Woman Acceptance Factor 😉

XHover MXP180 FPV Maiden

Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset

The XHover MXP180 is quickly rising to the top of my favorite-to-fly list. It’s small footprint is a huge part of making me make that decision. If a 180 flies the same as a 250, why would I fly the 250? The 180’s size reduces chances of crashing in small gaps but still maintains the ability to carry a GoPro Hero4.

Check out Parrot’s new Disco Drone

Parrot’s Disco drone is a fixed-wing aircraft

Throw it in the air and it does the rest.

Almost every drone offer on the market is a quad configuration with four-six rotors on a frame. however, Parrot has introduced its latest product, the Disco, a fixed-wing that is in the TBRC or classic FPV configuration. To Launch it, simply throw it in the air!

“Parrot Disco is the first wing-shaped drone you can pilot with no learning process. Its autopilot and its many sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, GPS) permanently control its flight”. The autopilot prevents adverse attitudes.

The Disco is 700 grams (1.5 pounds). It has a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour or 50 miles per hour and is faster than most quad or hex drones on the market. Fixed-wings have a longer battery life and can last up to 45 minutes on a single charge. Operates with Remote control or with a flight planning application.

This product sounds like it may be a lower cost alternative to the eBee.

Parrot Bebop 2 vs Yuneec q500: Different Style Camera Drones

Parrot and Yuneec have really established themselves in the drone industry. They have some great drones under their name and have made it difficult for the drone lovers to pick the best. Their most popular drones are Parrot Bebop 2 and Yuneec Q500, and they have their unique features and flight experience. Whether you have just started out, or you’re an expert, you have to account for many factors like flight time, battery, robust construction, and camera, to make an informed decision. Let’s pit these great drones against each other in the Parrot Bebop 2 vs Yuneec q500 comparison and find out which outperforms the other.

Parrot Bebop 2 Camera Drone

DESIGN

Yunnec Q500 is designed with a modular and much-integrated structure than Parrot Bebop. It has a stunning aerodynamic structure and has a much heavier look. On the other hand, the Parrot Bebop has a unique design and mimics a mini-aircraft and is much lighter in look and weight. The Typhoon Q500 has four rotors on the sides like any other quadcopter, and the Parrot Bebop has the tri-rotors arranged in the design of an airplane. Both are created with premium lightweight plastic and have a sleek and stylish appeal.

The battery of Yunnec Q500 has a mighty power of 5400 mAh and can provide up to 25 minutes of flight time when GPS and maneuvering are used at the minimum. Quadcopter for Sale on Amazon

Quadcopter for Sale on Amazon

Finding quadcopters for sale on Amazon can be a chore. I only say this because there are so many options to sift through and finding the right one for you is not as easy as just typing in “quadcopter.” You’ll get hundreds of results and many of them won’t even be quadcopters. You can narrow down your search with the advanced search column but this still may give you a bunch of results that seem unrelated and it may leave out the one drone that would be best for you.

Don’t get me wrong, Amazon is still a great place to find a quadcopter for sale. In fact, Amazon has its own drone store that has a list of drones for sale (though not yet comprehensive) and even some informational pages that tell you the basics about drones. Instead of searching through Amazon though, it’s better to know exactly which drone you want and then look that up on Amazon.

Here are some top choices of quadcopters for sale on Amazon:

The Parrot Minidrone Rolling Spider is unusual for its amazing acrobatics that are fun for anyone to play around with. It has large wheels extending beyond the quad propellers that let the drone flip in amazing U-turns and half turns. It can even roll from ceiling to walls to floor with the wheel/quad-propeller combo. The Rolling Spider can only fly for 8 minutes at a time and is small enough to fit easily in your open hands, but at about $80, this is a great drone for children and beginners.

Another quadcopter that also comes from Parrot is the Parrot AR Drone 2.0. This is a very popular choice, and it only costs about $300. It already comes with a quality camera and it’s safe due to the barriers around its propellers. The Parrot can get speeds up to about 11mph, it has about 20 minutes of flight time, and its sensors allow for smooth flying and increased control.

The Walkera QR X350 Pro costs anywhere from $300 to $400 on Amazon depending on which dealer you look at specifically. You have to buy a camera separately, but it does come with a two-axis gimbal, and its battery life is very impressive with about 25 minutes of flight time. It can reach up to 45mph, and it has smart GPS and Altitude sensors to keep flight steady.

The Blade 350 QX3 costs around $399 on Amazon. This model is ready-to-fly out of the box and it’s easy to fly. It’s equipped to carry a GoPro camera. Its GPS antennae and Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope make for clearer signal and easier flight. 15 minutes of flight time makes this more of a simple drone but still a top choice on Amazon.

Once you’ve found the drone you want, take a look at the different dealers selling through Amazon. You’ll find a variety of prices and deals as well as helpful policies and services. One way or another, Amazon will help you to make sure everything in your purchase goes smoothly.
